Rare Bicycle

While there are people who love collecting automobiles or motorcycles, there are also those who like to collect rare bicycles. Collecting bicycles is, of course, different from collecting motor vehicles. When you collect rare bicycles, there are no titles or insurance involved. Cleaning and restoring bicycles also require only a little bit of oil and grease, so you would not have to spend so much money on fuels or heavy oils that are used when working with automobiles or motorcycles. And because most people had a bicycle growing up, avid collectors usually find something to add to their collection of rare bikes.

For most collectors, collecting rare bicycles is not simply a hobby but also a profitable venture. Rare bicycles like penny farthings, balloon tire bicycles and sting ray bikes gather value. So, if you’re a collector and you decide to sell these bikes you will surely earn hundreds and even thousands of dollars. Rare bicycles are actually much more easier to sell than to collect. Normally, those who want to sell rare bicycles just set up shop at flea markets, consign them to antique dealers or bicycle shops, or take them to bicycle auctions.

Now, if you have an extensive collection and you do not want to part with any of your rare bicycles, you could still earn some money by charging admission to people who want to see your bicycle collection.
